Secondary SRE teacher

The Tweed Coast Christian Education Association is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary teacher to teach Special Religious Education in a local public High School.  This is an excellent opportunity for an educator with a passion to teach the fundamentals of Christianity in the public sector.

The position is for one day/week, currently Tuesday.

Essential qualifications are: Secondary teaching qualifications, experience in classroom teaching, registration (or pending registration) with NESA, a Working with Children Check number, sound understanding of the Bible, accreditation as an SRE teacher with their denomination, and active involvement in a Christian church. 

The successful applicant will also demonstrate good classroom management skills, ability to timetable classes, and creative and effective communication skills with teenagers. 

The position will commence Term 4 2021.

TCCEA represents ten local churches across denominations and employs teachers in Gospel-focussed ministry in three local schools.
