COH Church is currently accepting applicants for the position of Youth Pastor. This position is a permanent, part‐time position, and we are seeking applicants who can commit to at least two years of service. The church expects that within a normal month, the Youth Pastor will work 15 hours per week; these hours do not necessarily consist of presence in the church office, but may also include visitation, meeting with youth, mentoring youth program leaders, mission activities, attending seminars, professional development, etc.
About the position:
The Youth Pastor is involved in the development, oversight, promotion, and discipleship of youth in keeping with the vision and mission of COH Church. The Youth Pastor leads COH Church’s youth program to accomplish and fulfill its stated mission, vision, and values. The individual in this position provides spiritual oversight to youth, their families, and within the congregation. Additionally, the Youth Pastor serves as part of the ministry team led by the Senior Pastor under the direction of the Elders.
The Youth Pastor should be well‐versed in the current trends in youth ministry and in Australian teen culture as he/she helps our youth grow as Jesus' followers within that culture. The role will require the individual to further develop our high school age church youth ministry that focusses on discipleship and evangelism.

As a church body, COH Church is committed to supporting the youth program and the Youth Pastor. Members of the church participate enthusiastically in the life of the church, through prayer and use of their spiritual gifts in support of our ministry to youth. We support the work of the Youth Pastor and pray for his/her ministry, affirm his/her efforts, and work with him/her to accomplish and fulfill COH Church’s stated mission, vision, and values.
About the person
We are looking for a proactive, energetic, creative, Spirit-filled follower of Jesus who will lead our youth leaders to grow as disciples of Jesus and as leaders of our young people. This is initially a 15 hours per week, depending upon the successful applicant’s availability and skillset to work within the needs of the church in other areas. Completed Certificate IV in Ministry preferred (or willing to undertake Cert IV as part of PD with COH Church). This may suit someone who is also studying at Bible College and wishing to pursue a role in Christian Youth Ministry.
