Salary rate, $26,77 per hour plus 11% superannuation

About the role

We seek a dedicated Church Administrator to join our team and work closely with our Senior Minister and ministry leaders. The Church Administrator will take direction from the Senior Minister and receive support from a member of the Parish Council. This part-time position offers an initial one-year appointment, with the potential for additional hours supporting our children's ministry.

Responsibilities 

Perform general administrative tasks to support our church, including preparing drafts of the Weekly News Sheet and Monthly E-News, maintaining the Church database, managing the register of church services, drafting the annual parish return, and other administrative tasks as required.

Support our midweek playgroup, including welcoming new families, managing registrations, and handling email communications.

Provide administrative support for our (weekend) Kids Church program by preparing program materials ahead of time and compiling Bible study materials as needed.

Carry out additional duties the Senior Minister or their delegate assigns.

A committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, actively involved in a church community.

Possesses a servant's heart and a teachable spirit.

Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsive to requests and offers assistance as needed.

Highly organised and capable of completing delegated tasks independently and within set timeframes.

Serves as a friendly church representative for visitors during the week.

Proficient in or quick to learn new systems, including Mailchimp, WordPress, Google Docs, Adminosaur, Microsoft 365, Dropbox, and various social media platforms.

Other requirements

Eligibility for a Working With Vulnerable People card.

Willingness and eligibility to undergo relevant Anglican Diocese and Goulburn safe ministry screening protocols.
