Anglican Church of Noosa
04 Dec, 2018
We exist to glorify God by making disciples as we love and serve Noosa. In accord with that vision, we are praying that the Lord will send us someone who loves Jesus, loves young people and children, is a great Bible teacher, and has a heart to see those who don’t yet know Jesus, come into relationship with him. We have had a fortnightly youth group of between 30-45 kids for the last two years meeting on a Friday night at St Andrew’s Anglican College at Peregian Springs. While the kids love the games and letting their hair down at the end of the week, they have also revelled in the small-group discussion which has followed a Bible talk. On Sunday mornings, we have around 10-12 young people who join us for church and head out for their own Bible teaching and discussion. We are looking for someone with theological and practical training in youth and/or children’s ministry to take up this role, working in conjunction with the college. We know children’s ministry requires different skills, but we would love to find someone who could also help oversee our children’s teams at both Peregian Springs and Tewantin – recruiting, inspiring and training leaders and coordinating opportunities such as holiday kids’ club and other connecting activities. This is a full-time role – or for a married couple – could be two part time roles. See our church vision here. Initial enquiries ought to be made to Mark Calder mncalder@gmail.com

In accord with that vision, we are praying that the Lord will send us someone who loves Jesus, loves people, is a great Bible teacher, and has a heart to see those who don’t yet know Jesus, come into relationship with him. We have a wonderful congregation of people at Peregian Springs which meets in the drama studio at St Andrew’s Anglican College. We average around 30 people + children and young people, but honestly believe that with inspiring leadership and a gospel focus, this could easily be 130! The Peregian pastor would work closely with our minister Mark Calder, along with the chaplain and principal of the college. They would share some responsibility across the whole Anglican church of Noosa which has two other congregations – one at Tewantin and one at Sunshine Beach. Whilst ordination as an Anglican priest would be an advantage, we may also be able to appoint someone as an authorised lay minister. See our church vision here.
