In the ACT, thousands of parents request Christian Education for their children in public schools, under allowances in the ACT Education Act 2004. As a ministry of the ACT Churches’ Council, CEIS  was established to service such requests and remains a dynamic and growing service across Canberra.

With modern, interactive sessions, CEIS sessions welcome any young person to experience God’s love as they seek, question and explore Christian faith and values. CEIS is coordinated by qualified teachers who facilitate policy adherence, curriculum planning, volunteer training, session delivery and professional liaison with families, schools, ETD, churches and other relevant organisations.

CEIS does what it does as a community service and to assist improved understanding and respect for Christian faith, hope and love. CEIS views this as an integral part of holistic education.
