The Uniting Church in Australia is Australia’s third-largest Christian denomination. It was established in 1977 as a union of Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational Churches.
The Brisbane Taiwanese Congregation was established in 1989 from migrant families, and meets in the southside of Brisbane with 150 members. We are committed to the faith formation of our children and youth ministries through to the pastoral care of our active seniors. We are the sole Taiwanese speaking Uniting Church congregation in Australia and have recently launched our English ministry. Our congregation life includes two Sunday morning services (English, Taiwanese), a Friday night youth and young adults service, a large Sunday School, Bible studies and home groups, and fellowship activities for older members. Our hope is for God to use our Taiwanese culture to bring the gospel to Brisbane’s multicultural community.
