The Salvation Army is seeking to employ a Children's Secretary to strengthen current, emerging and future ministry practice in toddlers and children's ministry in Tasmania.

The Children’s Secretary will assist leaders within their division/ region to:

  • Create Jesus-centred communities

  • Listen to the voice of children

  • Teach and disciple

  • Nurture partnerships with families

  • Foster networks - with schools and a range of community agencies

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a full time, 2 year maximum term position based in Derwent Park, Tasmania.

This is an Award Free position.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Relevant qualification in in toddlers and children’s ministry OR in another child related field (i.e. education)

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in toddler and children’s ministry.

  • An understanding of and commitment to the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army

  • A current driver’s licence

  • Complete compulsory training requirements with regards to children

  • Current Working with Children Check
