Job Description

The Anglican Schools Corporation (ASC) is charged by the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney with the mission to provide affordable quality Christian education. Currently, ASC owns and operates 16 schools across 18 locations and educates some 14,000 students throughout NSW.

We are currently seeking to appoint an Accounts Receivable Officer to work with the Accounts Receivable team based out of our Group Office in Hurstville.

About the role

Group Office Accounts Receivable are responsible for the collection of school fees as per the ASC Debtors policy.  They are responsible for the timely collection of debtor’s accounts and accounts receivable functionalities.  Accounts Receivable Officers are required to have problem solving capabilities and be able to negotiate payment plans. 

Our Accounts Receivable Officers are collaborative team players, who oversees their own debtor’s portfolio.  They must be able to analyse debtor’s data and provide accurate data analysis and reports.  Accounts Receivable Officers must have a solid understanding of financial accounting principles, calculations, post and manage accounting figures and understand transactional line items.   Work flexibility is required at termly billing runs.

About you

  • A practising Christian, active in your local church
  • Previous experience within accounts receivable/ credit control is essential
  • Highly developed organisation skills with ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills
  • Ability to liaise with diverse stakeholder and client groups.
  • Forward thinking and proactive in situations where required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and to establish effective work relationships with colleagues
