Women’s & Children’s Ministry Worker 3 days a week

We are looking for a godly, ministry-minded woman to join our team ministry with special focus on women’s and children’s ministry.

Our mission is to bring people into a relationship with Jesus and for them to grow in maturity as His disciples.

About the Role

This is a part-time (3/5) role that seeks to be a catalyst for growing and developing the Women’s ministry and Children’s church. Over time it may well develop into a full-time role. The successful applicant would not only become a valued member of a 5-ministry worker team but also enjoy gospel ministry alongside a number of faithful members.

Responsibilities

• To facilitate women’s ministry through direct leadership and or encouraging others in leadership.
• To facilitate women coming together e.g., through internal or external women’s events/ conferences encouraging women to grow as maturing disciples of Jesus.
• To encourage outreach by women for women.
• To encourage, lead, teach and train women through reading the Bible, prayer, and encouragement.
• To undertake pastoral care in conjunction with the session and Women’s leadership team to women in our congregation particularly the elderly, young, sick, and struggling.
• To champion Children’s ministry across all campuses of Grace PC Newcastle.
• To provide support and encouragement to the DynaMites music playgroup outreach.
• To participate actively and serve at Grace Warabrook AM and PM including leading church, prayer, Kids Church etc.
• To attend a growth Group.

Key Requirements

• A desire to serve Jesus Christ in humility and love for both the saints and the lost.
• A paid NSW Working With Children Check.
• A robust understanding of the Gospel and the Scriptures
• Formal theological training will be well regarded, either completed, in progress, or willingness to commence.
• Willingness to become a Communicant member of Grace Presbyterian Church Newcastle.
• Supportive of a complementarian view of men’s and women’s ministry.
• Previous ministry experience with a good reputation for working within team ministries.
• A mature reformed evangelical faith that is consistent with the faith as described in the Westminster Confession of Faith.
