Our Impact

About the Role
With a vision to double our impact, the CFO role will help to equip and enable the ministry to achieve this vision. Working closely with the CEO and other executive team members, the CFO will be responsible for leading the financial management, project management and business services of Open Doors.
In the role you will:
• Closely partner with CEO and Executive team to plan and deliver our strategic plan to achieve our vision and goals.
• Lead team of professional staff delivering accounting and financial services across the organisation.
• Develop and oversee innovative financial systems, processes, and procedures to ensure appropriate levels of reporting, controls, and governance.
• Ensure potential and actual business risks are identified and that mitigation strategies to respond to and manage these are put in place.
• Provide financial modelling, reporting, analysing, and interpreting financial data both accurately and strategically.
• Develop strong relationships with strategic partners including banks, auditors and Open Doors International.
About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
• Member of CPA Australia or ICANZ and at least 5 years of experience at a management level
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a wide cross-section of people
• Strategic and Operational leadership experience
• Working understanding of Xero accounting system
• Salesforce software experience preferred
• Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills
• Experience working in a customer service environment
• Proven track record of resource management
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Demonstrated experience as a proactive and team-focused leader
• Understanding of the Not-for-Profit sector and its governance requirements
