Morling College is the Baptist Theological College of New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory. In 2021, it merged with Vose Seminary, the Baptist Theological College of Western Australia and now operates across campuses in New South Wales and Western Australia. The College is a third-party provider of the Australian College of Theology for most of its theological awards and of the University of Divinity for Higher Degree Research. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as an Associate Dean of Education. Reporting to the Dean of Education and working closely with other senior colleagues, you will contribute to the formation and equipping of students and the wider mission of Morling College through engagement and administration. You will be responsible for assisting with the operational management and day-to-day running of the courses in the Faculty of Education, ensuring it achieves quality education and educational governance standards in collaboration with the College representatives and bodies. The role includes requirements for teaching, participation in the life of the College, research/scholarship and/or academic professional development activities. It is important that you will also have been engaged in professional practice in your field of expertise.
The role is part-time, 4 days per week (0.8FTE) based at the Sydney, NSW Campus. Morling College offers a competitive salary above award rates with religious practitioner's exempt benefits for this position. There can be flexibility in the distribution of hours, as required in the academic timetable. During peak periods, additional hours may be necessary and attendance at relevant meetings may occur outside of business hours.
