You will be responsible for the following:
Purchase, update, transfer renew client domain names
Liaise with accounts regarding renewals / purchases etc
Monitor domain name auto renewals to make sure they do occur and not expire
Setup, maintain, update DNS records for client domains
Recover domains for clients.
Create, maintain, monitor, update all aspects of cPanel accounts on production VPS
Monitor server performance and fix when required
Monitor server security and fix when required
Monitor, maintain, create server backups at account and file level
Monitor, maintain, update secondary DNS Nameserver (cpanel DNS only version) on Azure vps
Monitor, maintain, update development server on Azure vps including backup
Monitor, maintain, update local backup server including backup
Setup development sites on development server for website development / staging
Deploy development websites to production vps server when 'go live'
Setup all ancillary services: google analytics, google search, recaptcha. google maps.
Maintain & Mange SSL certificates
Monitor and ensure any Wordpress plugins / themes are updated in a timely manner
Monitor for any unusual activity and fix when required
Develop plugins and modify themes to designer / client specifications
Maintain source and version control of developed code (bitbucket)
Research plugins, code etc. for any website development requirements
Monitor website up time
Monitor and fix any website performance issues
Deliver exceptional service to all clients via phone and email and at times answer the Help Desk overflow phone enquiries
Maintaining and updating documentation related to Client Details and Knowledgebase articles.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Demonstrated education/training in a Web Development discipline
5+ years in a similar Web development role
Experience with AWS, Azure, Wordpress and Bitbucket
Experience in translating client ecommerce needs into Website functionality
A high understanding of SEO including Google analytics.
Diligence in understanding and maintaining Website security
Demonstrated ability to manage interactions with customers by phone, email and in person using proficient interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
Pride in being trustworthy, reliable and professional
A strong sense of teamwork, integrity, self-motivation, positive attitude, and initiative.
