Job Description

As this is an important role to support the church vision moving forward, we are looking for a qualified accountant with the right aptitude and competencies to take on a whole variety of responsibilities and challenges. This role is responsible for managing and processing of various accounts, reporting and the administration of the church financials and includes the following:

  • Planning and execution of the organizational cycle plans for reporting and performance review, annual budgeting in line with church leadership team’s vision, objectives and strategies
  • Operation and implementation of day-to-day accounting, tax, payroll under the direction of the Business Operations Director and Church Treasurer
  • Planning, development and execution of financial and cost management initiatives

Prerequisite Qualifications:

  • University Degree holder
  • Completed CA or CPA qualification
  • At least 5 years experience in Finance and Accounting
  • At least 2 years experience with MYOB or other equivalent accounting package
  • An alignment to Clayton Church vision, mission and values

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Able to work independently
  • Deadline-oriented and ability to deliver to time constraints
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel spreadsheet and accounting package
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Analytical mind
