Are you a passionate communicator looking to make a significant impact in the world? Opportunity International Australia is looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join its Fundraising and Marketing team in the Sydney CBD. This exciting role is required to help position our organisation for significant growth as we surge forward in our mission to not just fight poverty, but end it.
Reporting to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and working closely with the Marketing Manager, National Development Manager and CEO, this role will manage a range of communications, PR and brand activities to help raise the profile, fundraising and impact of Opportunity International Australia. Join a dynamic team as we embark on our next chapter, break new ground, and have an even greater impact than ever before!
We believe that ending poverty is the single most significant thing we can accomplish in our lifetime. There are still two billion families around the world living in poverty, surviving on less than we would spend on our daily cup of coffee. With more than 45 years’ experience, Opportunity International Australia exists to give these families the tools they need to work their way out of poverty. Our work is motivated by the love of God towards all people.
We recognise that poverty is complex, so we use a multi-faceted approach to solving it. Working with local partners, we deliver holistic solutions to target the three biggest obstacles that people living in poverty face: livelihoods, health and education. We help families use small loans to start businesses so they can earn their own incomes; we improve health, sanitation and nutrition so illnesses don’t stop them from running their business; and we support better education so that the next generation of children can leave poverty for good.
Join us! Together, we can become the solution for world poverty, one life at a time.
Don't fight poverty – end it.
This role would suit a candidate with a degree in communications or journalism (other relevant qualifications accepted) with at least seven years’ experience in a communications role.
Opportunity is a child safe organisation. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a National Police Check and adhere to our Child Protection Policy.
