Position Overview:
Our Live-in House Managers are central to the unique Servants housing model. Reporting to the Head of Tenant Services, House Managers support daily operations of Servants’ properties, ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere, provide a consistent, non-judgmental and pastoral presence, and respond to resident enquiries, complaints and issues.
House Managers do not need to remain on site 24/7, but rather live in a private unit/apartment on the same property as residents. By doing so, house managers are available to residents (within reasonable boundaries) to build relationships, respond to needs, and facilitate an environment where residents can grow and flourish.
Our Women’s House Manager will live independently in a self-contained bungalow on the same property as residents. As the property is a women’s-only house, this role will suit female applicants. Accommodation, utilities and a weekly shared meal are provided.
Some House Managers are retired with spare time to invest in the lives of residents. Others work full or part time in paid positions in addition to their role as a house manager. The women’s house manager is a volunteer role.
