Calling for a full-time English Pastor  

Church Background: 

Located in West Ryde NSW, Chinese and Australian Baptist-West Ryde is a church of 34 years looking for an English pastor to join our pastoral team, focusing on our newest service - Harvest. 

Harvest is a young English service which aims to be a genuine community changed by grace, compelled by Christ, to love others. It is part of our larger CABC-WR church, which has a mission to “Follow Jesus, build community, and bring hope”.

Key position description:  

  • To assist Senior Pastor in all areas of the ministry of the church to enrich and grow the English congregation, predominately focused on the Harvest service, in alignment with our overall church vision in the document “Our future church”. 

  • To preach, disciple, and equip the congregation for service in designated ministries of the church based on each believer’s spiritual gifts. 

  • To provide direction, recruit, and train believers to implement our mission and outreach initiatives.  

Requirements: 

1. Clear commitment to our statement of faith 

2. A team player with teachable character. The ability and willingness to work with, and through, others. 

3. Strong interpersonal skills to relate to and serve effectively within a multi-generational setting. 

4. Cross-cultural intelligence and the desire to reach others who are from a different ethnic/cultural background . 

 

Qualifications:  

1. Theological qualifications of a minimum Bachelor Degree level. 

2. Other relevant ministry training or experience.
