Job Description

We are looking for a skilled marketing and communications professional to join our Sydney-based team on a fixed-term (12 months), part-time or full-time basis.

About the Role:

  • In collaboration with various stakeholders, develop comprehensive marketing and communication campaigns and strategies to enhance MC’s brand identity and support student recruitment across multiple campus.
  • Develop and implement creative and measurable communication and marketing plans that encompass advertising, public relations, market research, publications, digital and social media, events, media relations, and other aspects of strategic marketing.
  • Manage a department budget.
  • Oversee the MC website.
  • The role is 30.4 hours/week (0.8 FTE) - 38 hours per week (1 FTE), for 12 months (maternity relief).
  • Remuneration: $74,525.51/annum (0.8 FTE) to $93,156.89/annum (1 FTE), excluding Superannuation with religious practitioner exempt benefits if eligible.
  • This is equivalent to $97,803/annum (0.8FTE) to $124,178/annum (1 FTE), excluding Superannuation without tax benefits.

Key Attributes (please respond to these attributes in your Cover Letter):

Qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, media, or a related discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a related field.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in the Higher Education sector and/or complex organizations.
  • Experience in using Marketing CRM software – Salesforce Engagement (Pardot) or equivalent.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in effective leadership and driving impactful initiatives within the education sector. Proven ability to lead and effectively manage the performance, output, and professional development of direct reports.
  • Lead Generation Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing lead generation campaigns, showcasing the ability to strategically attract, nurture and convert prospective students.
  • Campaign Delivery: Proven track record in successfully delivering and evaluating marketing campaigns targeted at student recruitment, program promotion, and engagement.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Proven track record in building and managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Skills, Character, and Qualities:

  • Demonstrated Christian character and involvement in a local evangelical church.
  • Alignment of personal values, beliefs and practices with the mission, Staff Code, and Christian ethos of Morling College.
  • Strong creativity and design skills, with experience using Adobe Creative cloud for generating visually appealing marketing materials desired.
  • Demonstrated competence in creating assets on Canva.
  • Highly developed strategic marketing, communication, and project management skills, with a clear understanding of the unique dynamics and challenges within an education environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
