  • Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC)
  • Kathmandu, Nepal
Full time Education & Training

Job Description

Our vision at Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC) is to be a living witness of Christ’s love through excellent education primarily for the children of those serving in Nepal. KISC is a multi-cultural community serving children from many different countries. Through our international K-12 school, students and staff will positively impact their world.

Many of our parents appreciate the varied opportunities our students have to learn music, play different instruments and to be involved in musical performances, competitions and dramatical productions.  We are keen for our students to develop their creative gifts and talents and are looking for a music teacher who can inspire our students to develop and explore in this area.  We have small classes where we focus not only on performance but also incorporate theory, history, listening, and composition tools which they begin developing in Primary school to prepare them for the Cambridge curriculum in upper secondary.  There are also opportunities for orchestra, after school clubs and extracurricular activities.

Your skills and experience will be valued and appreciated by eager learners who are encouraged to reach their full potential and by their families who are thankful for the provision of KISC because it enables them to do what God has called them to here in Nepal.  KISC, and this position within the school, has a strategic role in the work being undertaken in this beautiful country.

All of our expat staff are volunteers. We cover all visa costs, provide initial language learning and ongoing professional teaching development.  For those who commit to staying two or more years we provide the following support:  those with children receive a free child place; those without children receive the equivalent value support in the form of a living allowance, return airfares from your home country and school lunches.
