Our vision at Kathmandu International Study Centre (KISC) is to be a living witness of Christ’s love through excellent education primarily for the children of those serving in Nepal. KISC is a multicultural community serving children from many different countries. All of our classes are small and are supported with a full-time teacher’s assistant, allowing for quality learning for each child. Through our international K-12 school, students and staff work to positively impact their world.
Our Student Support Teachers work with students individually and in small groups to help develop specific skills to contribute to their academic growth. Student Support Teachers have the unique opportunity to assess a student’s needs and develop individualized interventions in order to improve their academic success. Our Student Support Teachers work as part of a team and co-teach with the classroom teachers. Your expertise and structured support can enable students to experience success both academically and socially in our school.
Our families are thankful for the provision of KISC because it enables them to do what God has called them to here in Nepal. KISC, and this position within the school, has a strategic role in the work being undertaken in this beautiful country.
All of our expat staff are volunteers. We cover all visa costs, provide initial language learning and ongoing professional learning for our staff. For those who commit to staying two or more years we provide the following support: those with children receive a free child place; those without children receive the equivalent value support in the form of a living allowance, return airfares from your home country and school lunches.
