We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Web Developer to join our high performing digital product team. This position will involve the ongoing development of a variety of digital properties within the Bible Society Australia family, as well as the chance to create and innovate with exciting new projects.

Responsibilities will include:

  • A focus on PHP and WordPress CMS development
  • Working with product / UX / design to build prototypes and interfaces from wireframes and designs
  • Writing high quality code and supporting documentation to produce user facing websites and web applications
  • Providing elegant solutions through research and creative problem solving

Key Criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years of web development experience preferably within an agile or product team
  • Advanced HTML / Javascript / CSS (inc frameworks like Foundation) enabling you to take designs and easily bring them life
  • Wordpress customisation and plugin development backed with strong PHP coding skills
  • Understanding of underlying technology stack, security and performance
  • Confident working with third party APIs and exploring new technologies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, self-motivated and able to work independently
