Certificate III Educator - St Thomas’ Preschool North Sydney Permanent Full Time Position – Commencing Term 1 2021

St Thomas’ Preschool in North Sydney is seeking an experienced Christian educator for a full time, permanent position, commencing in Term 1 of 2021. 

This role represents an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified individual to be part of a small, dedicated team in a caring and nurturing Christian environment. The Preschool is well established and regarded in the community and caters for 27 children daily aged 3-5 years. The Preschool is open from 8:15am to 3:45pm during school terms and is a not for profit centre supported by a Management Committee.

We are looking for a professional educator (Certificate III qualified) with previous experience working with 3-5s.  Reporting to the Director, you will be part of a team of educators working together to provide an engaging, warm and stimulating learning environment.  

The successful candidate will:

• be a committed Christian
• have a love of children and a passion for play-based learning
• have a motivated personality and ability to work well within a team environment
• be competent in all areas of childcare compliance, legislation and WH&S
• work confidently within the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework
• hold a recognised Certificate III in Children’s Services, as recognised by ACECQA
• have previous experience in a 3-5s setting
• have a current Working With Children Check number
• hold a current First Aid Certificate including asthma and anaphylaxis management (ACECQA approved)

have a professional level of written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated computer literacy
