Koorong are seeking an organised, reliable and friendly person with a passion for Christian resources to join our Adelaide team. We are seeking a Retail Assistant who has experience supervising a small retail team, preferably in a bookstore or similar environment. Bring your solid leadership skills to this full time role with a difference.

Role Specifics:

• Supervisor responsibilities
• Adelaide location
• Full time hours
• Working days will be Tuesday to Saturday. The initial first few weeks of training in the role will be done from Monday to Friday, including late night training on Friday nights.

Providing excellent customer service is the key purpose of this role along with the important responsibility of supporting the Store Manager by supervising shifts, efficiently opening/closing the store and stock maintenance. Other duties also include cash register operation, re-stocking shelves, pricing stock and store merchandising.

Key Criteria:

We are looking for an organised person with strong leadership skills who can efficiently supervise a store and work cohesively within a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is a must as well as a positive attitude. An intermediate level of computer literacy is essential. Previous retail experience in a bookstore or book department is highly desirable. A good knowledge of Christian resources would be an advantage.
