An exciting opportunity is available for an energetic, customer focused, hospitality leader to join our team as the Area Manager for our 6 Pages cafes, located nationally. As the Area Manager you will be responsible for the growth and development of our café operations, ensuring exceptional customer service is delivered and our brand continues to thrive.
Experience managing multi-site cafés or restaurants is essential. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and be result focused, highly motivated and have proven experience in the successful management and development of people. A passion for coffee is a must have!
This role will also include direct management of our West Ryde Pages Café and will require some travel to other locations.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
Monitor and forecast food & beverage revenues and expenses to ensure company goals are met
Monitor and develop menus and prices in conjunction with the Cafe Managers, applicable to corporate standards and the competitive landscape
Manage all national and local food and beverage vendor agreements
Prepare periodic management reports illustrating sales volume, cost of goods sold labour, and areas of proposed improvements on revenue and cost improvements
Trouble-shoot and implement solutions for identified Cafe problems and issues
Leads all training on Cafe systems, service, standards and operations
Experience in managing multi-site cafes essential
Minimum 3-5 years in a similar role
Must have direct experience in all key aspects of food & beverage operations relating to café management, including levels of service, catering sales & marketing, culinary, sanitation, cash flow and full P&L responsibility
Ability to train and mentor managers and staff
Ability to develop short and long term strategic plans for the cafes
Ensure and promote high standard of WH&S in all cafes
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Must be highly organised, efficient and detail oriented
Must be proficient with technology, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook as well as intimate knowledge of POS systems
